For the more dedicated CD/TS into this stuff yes a longer length of stroke and slower speed would be wanted. Sounds like a high torque low speed electric motor with a motor speed controller, and using a round 12" diameter steel plate.I used to work in automotive engineering and testing so know about rotating and reciprocating test setups to push buttons and bump switches on and off, etc. I was never good at machining and metal fabrication, I dealt with building the electronics (whether a timer or a micro-controller).

do wendytgirlxy : Fixed this message out of spam folder, but yes, Hismith can offer stroke lenght of 6 inches and one machine costing near 2k can offer 6,7inches… nice machines, but i have no use for this shallow strokes. I do run mine around 10inch stroke length and one video i made with maximum 12inch stroke. I personally love the toy sliding and deep strokes, fast and/or shallow strokes combined with huge price is not for me.
